Was that a full down, power idle auto from an OGE hover at 250ft.? Super sick!

Not a true full down auto. I brought in the power in the hover. Easier on the chopper!

Slow motion really gives time to see how the descent rate is arrested in the flare. Have to ask though, did the tail stinger actually make contact with the ground on that one? (looked like the tail stopped moving and the machine pivoted around it)

What kind of forward airspeed can be obtained during the decent from 250ft? Pretty impressive auto, keep the skills sharp!

Stinger is pretty close to contact. A little too close. Was trying to do a zero speed touch down. With a bit of a headwind, I can level the chopper out earlier.
Prefer doing a power recovery. Not worth beating up my heli practicing full down autos
