Fuel Filter
#11
Hey Skeeter...

Blair and I pulled one of those filters apart, and found the same problem... but a little bit of further investigation also revealed that the way the unit screws together actually limits the fuel supply too! We put a bevel on the ends of that screw into the end caps, and straight away increased fuel flow dramatically! I just asked Blair if we had any photos from when we
did that, he said no, but he will take some when he pulls it apart next for the weekly clean out.

Gascolater is a good investment. When I flew fixed wing I had one on my Cessna 172 and everytime I did a preflight inspection I would always get a little less than a tea spoon of water out of it. Tanks must have been condensating somewhat. But fuel starvation is a baaad thing in any aircraft.
