Darrell Jones 285 Build
#10
G'day All, Time for a bit of an update. In the manual, it says to drill the torque box  so you can run the fuel, vent and return lines hopefully out of harms way, the directions say  to use rubber grommets, couldn't find any that suited my purpose, next  thing was to buy some nylon bar and turn some up. while doing a bit of wiring on the gyro, I used split plastic piping, so I tried a short piece around the fuel line on the Mosquito, will do the job very well. This time of the year in Qld, mud wasps are out and about, looking for the perfect place or hole to build their nests, when they build the nests in fuel lines etc, so on the Mosquito there are lots of little holes and some big ones, so you have to tape all of these up. Been know to bring down a Cessna in a short time frame of leaving terra ferma.
That's all, until next time.  Cheers Darrell.
